    Wang Xuezhong, courtesy name Minzi, and pseudonym Minweng, was born in Tengzhou, Shandong Province. He studied under renowned artists such as Wu Jingting, Xu Beihong, and Li Keran. Wang was skilled in landscape painting, figure painting, and flower-and-bird painting. Along with Xu Beihong, he was referred to as one of the "Three Eccentrics of Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting." He is also known as the founder of the "Min School" (Minxue) of art.
