Zhang Guang was born in Luting, Hebei in December 1941. A member of China Artists Association, a director of Eastern Art Exchange Association, a first-class national painter and a painter for People's Fine Arts Publisher. Graduated Department of Chinese Painting, Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1965. When he was a student, he majored realistic portrait class teaching professor Jiang Zhaohe. He acquired solid skill of realistic painting under the teaching of a professor Ye Qianyu. Good at painting portrait, horses and cows.
