Luo Zhenyu

  • Luo Zhenyu, courtesy name was Shu Yan, art name was Xue Tang and Zhensong Laoren, born in Shangyu Zhejiang. He was good at seal script, clerical script, regular script and semi-cursive script, and he was the first person to write oracle bone script in calligraphy. He made some contributions, such as preserving emperor documents, researching and dissemination of oracle bone scripts in the Yin Ruins, compiling Dunhuang and Tang manuscripts, and researching Han and Jin Mokkan (wooden tablets).

    • Chen Nian

      Chen Nian was born in Shnayin, Zhejiang. Grow up in a poor family and learnt poetry and calligraphy by himself in his childhood. Admire Wu Changshuo as his master. Moved to Beijing when he was 40-year-old and worked at Beijing library. After that become a teacher at Peiping Art School. Good at painting flowers and scenery, calligraphy and seal carving. Worked as a Director of China Artists Association, Vice President of Beijing Academy of Fine Arts, President of Chinese Painting Research Association.

    • Pu Ru

      Pu Ru was born in Beijing, the grandson of Prince Gong. He was good at painting landscapes, bird-and-flower, animals and calligraphy.

    • Zheng Xiaoxu

      Zheng Xiaoxu was a modern Chinese politician, poet, and calligrapher. He was good at regular script, and one of the advocates of “Tong Guang School”.
