Zhang Jizhi

Zhang Jizhi, styled Wenfu and also known by the art name Chuliao, was a calligrapher of the Song dynasty from Liyang. Born into a prominent and influential family, he was the son of Zhang Xiaobo, a Deputy Prime Minister, the nephew of the patriotic poet Zhang Xiaoxiang, and the eighth-generation descendant of the renowned mid-Tang poet Zhang Ji. He was specially appointed as Grand Tutor to the Crown Prince and held the position of Director of the Secretariat.
