Lu Fu

• Lu Fu, courtesy name Mingben, styled himself “Master of the Plum Blossom Studio.” He was active during the Hongzhi and Jiajing periods of the Ming dynasty and was a native of Wujiang (present-day Suzhou, Jiangsu). He specialized in ink plum paintings and associated with Huang Gongwang, Ni Zan, and other artists.
