Shang Rui

Shang Rui was a Buddhist monk active during the Kangxi period of the Qing dynasty. His courtesy names were Jingrui and Xunwei, also written as Xunjun or Xunrui. His sobriquets included Muzun, Pushizi, Tongxin Heshang, Tongxin Daoren, Tongxin Xingzhe, and Woyun Ren. He was a native of Wu County, Jiangsu Province (present-day Suzhou, Jiangsu). He was highly learned and talented in many fields, and excelled in poetry and prose.
