Qi Gong (1912-2005), courtesy name was Yuan Bai, art name was Yuanbei Jushi, born in Beijing, the ninth direct descendent of Emperor Yong Zheng, a famous modern Chinese calligrapher, educator, classical philologist and poet. He served as the associate professor of Beijing Normal University, standing committee member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, director of the National Document Appraisal Committee, director of the Central Museum of the Literature and History, documental instructor, advisor of Jiusan Society, honorary chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, founder of the World Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, chairman of the Chinese Buddhist Association, consultant of the National Museum and president of Xiling Seal Art Society.
