Wu Daorong

• Wu Daorong (original name Wu Guozhen; courtesy name Yuchen; sobriquets Yonghui and Dan'an) was a native of Panyu, Guangdong, during the late Qing and early Republican periods. He obtained the juren degree in 1889 during the Guangxu era and later served as an editor in the Hanlin Academy. During the Republican period, he was active as a scholar, calligrapher, and educator, earning recognition for his contributions to both scholarship and the art of calligraphy.
