Zhong Mingtian

• Zhong Mingtian, courtesy name Hesheng, was also known by the studio name Meixiang Dongren, with the studio name Baopu Zhai. He was born in Dingnan County, Jiangxi Province. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of Huazhong Normal College in 1953. After graduation, he served as a teacher of Chinese painting and calligraphy at Huazhong Normal College, Wuhan Art Teachers College, and Hubei Art Institute. He later participated in the founding of Shufa Bao (Calligraphy Journal), where he served as an editorial board member. He also worked as a professor at Hubei Calligraphy and Painting Art Specialized College.
