Aisin-Gioro Xuanye, known as the Kangxi Emperor, was the fourth emperor of the Qing dynasty and the second emperor after the capital was established in Beijing. He styled himself “Tiyuan Zhuren” and adopted the reign title “Kangxi.” Among the Mongols, he was called “Enkhe Amgulang Khan,” while in Tibet he was honored as the “Manjushri Emperor.” He was the third son of the Shunzhi Emperor.
