Hanshan Deqing

• Hanshan Deqing had the secular surname Cai, courtesy name Chengyin, sobriquet Hanshan, and Dharma name Deqing, and was posthumously titled Hongjue Chan Master. A native of Quanjiao, Anhui, he was a prominent Linji (Rinzai) monk of the Ming dynasty and is regarded as one of the Four Great Eminent Monks of the late Ming period.
