Xian Yuqing

• Xian Yuqing was a native of Xiqiao, Nanhai, Guangdong, and was born in Macau. She also used the sobriquets “Master of the Langgan Studio” and “Hermit of Xiqiao Mountain.” A renowned Chinese philologist, poet, calligrapher, and painter, she was celebrated as the “Unmarried Presented Scholar” and the “Talented Lady of Lingnan.” She served as director of the Museum of Cultural Relics at Lingnan University, professor in the Department of Chinese at Sun Yat-sen University, and deputy director of the Guangdong Research Institute of Literature and History.
