Dabei Fashi

• Master Dabei, whose secular surname was Deng and given name Tianming, was a native of Anlu County, Hubei Province. Intelligent and eager to learn from an early age, he first received his education at a traditional village school, where he studied the Four Books and Five Classics under the Confucian tradition. Master Dabei was deeply versed in Buddhist studies, observed the precepts with great strictness, and was also skilled in poetry and painting, often incorporating Buddhist teachings into his works.
