  • AUGUSTE MOREAU was a representative decorative sculptor of 19th-century France and was active as a member of the Moreau family of sculptors. He primarily produced small-scale bronze sculptures, with subjects including allegorical figures, elegant female figures, and putti, characterized by a light style that combines naturalism and decorative qualities. He became widely known following his Salon exhibitions and also produced numerous works intended for circulation, achieving a certain level of recognition in the market.
