Yan Ermei

Yan Ermei was a native of Pei County, Jiangsu. His courtesy name was Yongqing, and his sobriquet Gugu. Because he was born with unusually long ears that were whiter than his face, he was also known by the sobriquets Baidashanren and Daodong Heshang. He was a poet and prose writer of the late Ming period and a yilao, a loyalist who refused to serve the Qing dynasty after the fall of the Ming.
