PHILLIPE STARCK

  • PHILLIPE STARCK, born in Paris, France in 1949, is an architect and designer. After graduating from the Camondo School of Decorative Arts, he founded his own firm at the young age of 18. In the mid-1970s, he gained widespread recognition for his interior design work at Parisian clubs such as "Man Blue" and "Les Bains Douches." In 1982, he received an award from VIA for a chair he designed. His achievements caught the attention of the French president at the time, leading him to undertake the interior design of the Presidential Palace and the suites at the Elysee Palace, further enhancing his reputation on a global scale. Collaborating with various manufacturers such as Cassina in France, as well as in Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Japan, and beyond, Starck has ventured into product design for furniture and industrial design alongside his architectural pursuits.
