"MIWA KOMATSU is a contemporary artist known for fusing mythical beasts, spirituality, and the essence of nature into powerful visual expressions. Raised in Sakaki, Nagano Prefecture, she draws deeply from nature and animals for inspiration. Signature works include Shin Fudoki, dedicated to Izumo Taisha Shrine, and Guardian Beasts of Heaven and Earth, crafted in Arita porcelain. Active across various media including live painting and design, Komatsu expands the boundaries of contemporary art.
