YOKOMIZO MIYUKI

  • YOKOMIZO MIYUKI creates site-specific installations that explore the themes of time, space, and light. By arranging transparent tubes, plastics, and other artificial materials throughout a given space, she pursues an expression that reveals the presence of intangible forms. In recent years, she has expanded her practice across painting and sculpture, developing the “line” series—where pigment-coated threads are flicked and layered in three-dimensional space—and the “angle” series, which visualizes the tension and directional shifts of lines. Her work is characterized by the repetition of materials and the accumulation of gestural traces, articulating a serene sense of temporal flow and spatial rhythm, and establishing a unique world where lightness and structural clarity coexist.
