Introduce: The Gutai Art Association (Gutai) was formed in 1954 and has been a driving force in Japanese avant-garde art from the 1950s to the 1970s. The trajectory of his activities has attracted attention both domestically and internationally, and has been semi-mythified as the starting point of postwar Japanese art.
This is the first large-scale Gutai exhibition to be held in Nakanoshima, Osaka, where Gutai Pinacotheca was built. In 2022, the 50th anniversary of the company's dissolution, this exhibition, which will be held simultaneously at two museums in a rare format, aims to create a new concrete image under the theme of "differentiation and integration." .
