This exhibition reflects on the 18 years of activity by the Gutai Art Association (Gutai), founded in Ashiya in 1954 and dissolved in 1972. A particular focus is placed on the late 1960s, when Gutai was actively preparing for participation in Expo '70 (the Japan World Exposition in Osaka).

In addition, the exhibition highlights Ashiya's vibrant post-Gutai art scene, featuring materials related to the Ashiyagawa International Biennale held at Luna Hall and the Tekisui Museum of Art in 1972 and 1974, as well as the Luna Festival held from 1973 to 1975. Through archival documents and materials, visitors are invited to trace the development of Ashiya’s local art history.
