Introduce: Keith Haring, beloved worldwide for his bright and pop imagery, believed that "art is for everyone." In the 1980s, he spread art throughout everyday places like subway stations and streets in New York, using it to convey powerful messages to a chaotic society, entrusting the future and hope of humanity to children. Although Haring's life was brief, spanning just 31 years, his active period as an artist lasted about 10 years. The messages embedded in his remaining works continue to resonate today.
This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience Haring's art through 150 pieces, including a large-scale work measuring six meters and some pieces being displayed in Japan for the first time. Haring's art continuously fought against societal violence and inequality, as well as prejudice and lack of support for HIV/AIDS. His art transcends time and space, stirring the hearts of people living in contemporary society.
